Both lakes are still closed but Mark is looking at reopening the site in the middle of March. Plenty of site work has been going on such as swim renovations and snag removals. Along with the fish having a nice healthy break!

The Border Fisheries complex has as usual been fishing very well(See below for an outline of results).

The next lake to be renovated is the three islands Pool where the [pegs have been built and just need to be put in place.

Memberships are doing well, don’t forget there is no joining fee so its just £80 per year.

The biggest perch off the complex this month has been a staggering 5lb! Caught during a match.

Massive thanks to the seven members that turned out for the work party this morning. It was a wet start but turned into a nice day as forecast. A lot of work achieved. New pool feeder stream dug out and breaches repaired, dangerous tree at the back of peg 20 taken down and logged up, mud bath local to the entrance gates cleared and mud removed, area around the lock up tidied and materials stacked.

Work party Sunday 15th March. Meet on the Marina Car Park at 9am. Work will be on rilshaw lane dock yard removing debris from the pegs and the water following the recent floods, and attempting to remove a fallen tree. Waders would be useful if you have them.

Remember from the 1st April a work party over stamp is required to fish New Pool, Newbridge pool and Marton Hole.

Work party stickers are £40 to buy, or 8hrs attendance at a work party. They are now available to purchase from the fishery manager and online.

COTM Jan ’20 – Congratulations to fishery manager Robert Ledwards with this awesome specimen Chub from the River Severn. Robert has spent a lot of time searching for these elusive characters. Well done it finally happened for you!
