It was a daunting time of my life, taking on full ...

It was a daunting time of my life, taking on full ownership of HF Angling along with all of the debts and responsibilities that came with it - 4 years ago now. At that time we were fighting to make a name for ourselves, fighting to be allowed accounts with certain suppliers and fighting for growth and stability. Meanwhile massive chain type stores were rising everywhere (2 right on our doorstep) using a seemingly endless pit of investors money to buy their way into the market; in what is already a crowded market place. There was a spike in online retailers selling product for ZERO profit…sometimes it was cheaper for us to buy from these stores than the manufacturer!! Madness, I know.

To say we were up against it is an understatement.

The first and best thing I ever did was employing Jon. We’ve come so far together. He has worked his bollox off over the years to help get us to where we are today. For that and his incredible loyalty I owe him a massive thank you. You’ve been by my side through all of the ups, downs and challenges that have been thrown at us over the years. I am very grateful for all of your hard work - Thank you mate.

His insanely creative mind will no doubt continue to turn heads, as I’m sure this won’t be the last you see of him in this industry. He is one very talented man and he loves the trade and hobby very much.

Maybe now you have some more free time you will be able to catch a carp or perch anywhere near my the size of my PB’S???

In all seriousness we wish you every bit of success in your new career and look forward to being able to actually get some time on the bank together now we don’t have to cover each others leave!

The new curly-tailed lure in the @korumfishing Squirm family, a Floatex lure with real attitude. At its best in colder, clear water conditions where a more subtle amount of water movement and vibration is required. During testing, the Squirlyz accounted for multiple 3lb+ fish for our in-house product team, and fish to over 6lb over in Europe. They really do pick out the better fish as they can be fished so slowly. Even with tiny movements, the tail is always undulating and drawing attention - a fantastic lure fished on a Jig, Cheb-head, Texas rig or Dropshot.
